How we started
We met on a shoot. Meg was working in-house at the University of Manchester Sport, filming rugby players during Movember and talking honestly with them about men’s mental health. James was one of the first people in front of the camera. He was also UoM’s Movember Rep in its most successful year, and he led the rugby club’s campaign to new heights.
That first video became the channel’s best-performing piece of content. The next year, Meg made it her ambition to top it. In Movember 2024, we went back to the same players a year on. The follow-up beat the original and caught the attention of Looseheadz, England Rugby Universities, YoungMinds and Movember’s global account. It’s still the channel’s top performer, and the rugby club has used the platform to keep growing the campaign since.
The style started a trend: rugby teams and schools across the country now make their own versions to spark honest conversations in their communities. It also put Meg on the shortlist for Movember’s Changing the Face of Men’s Mental Health award.
The work we love most
Passion projects are our bread and butter, especially around mental health. From our own experiences, we know how to shape an interview so it feels like a real conversation and gets the best out of people. It’s the most labour-intensive work we do. The two Movember videos took well over 100 hours between them, because work like that shouldn’t be rushed. It’s still our favourite.
Where we are now
We kept working together long after that first shoot. When Meg launched ClubHQ, a sport club management platform, James never touched the code, but it wouldn’t have happened without him. Since April 2026, social media has grown ClubHQ’s waitlist tenfold, from 500 to 5,000. It’s also building a community for sport club committee members, a space that was empty on social media until now.
Meg was also running socials for a few clients on the side. For Pots & Bots, that meant launching a new robotic lawn mowing service alongside their standard garden care, which brought them a new clientele and a new business model.
Now James has come on board and we’re taking on more clients. Meg brings years of marketing knowledge, strategy, vision and execution. James spent years as a bar manager for a small independent business, where the job is finding creative solutions to difficult problems, usually in real time and on a tight budget. He brings that problem-solving and client-facing instinct to everything we do, and he’s fast becoming Meg’s second brain. With Meg’s background in sport and James’s in hospitality, we see your business from different angles and through your customers’ eyes.
Why we do it differently
We don’t think small businesses should pay in-house prices for results. So we batch-produce: a few focused days of filming, then content drip-fed onto your channels for as long as it keeps working. We’re here to help, not to overcharge. If handing everything over isn’t right for you, we’ll teach you to do it yourself and guide you along the way.
